1. Heat up the oil in a frying pan; add the onions and cook until very golden.
  2. Add the ginger + garlic and cook for another minute. Turn off the heat and let cool.
  3. In a big bowl, combine the beans, flour, oatmeal, bread crumbs, red chili powder, salt and peper. Mix well.
  4. Add the mix of onion and mix well until it holds together when squeezed.
  5. Divide mix into 6 little cakes of the same size.
  6.  Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat, place the cakes in it, and cook undisturbed for about 3 – 4 minutes. Flip and cook on the other side until a golden crust forms on both sides.
  7. Enjoy with your favorite bread!
